Regular Season Round 19: Guangsha L. - Qingdao E. 81-93

There was a surprise result in Hangzhou where fourteenth ranked Qingdao Double Star (7-11) defeated 3rd placed Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (13-5) 93-81 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Qingdao Double Star. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions was better in second period 23-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for American guard Lester Hudson (191-84, college: Tenn-Martin) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 12 assists. Nigerian-British power forward Olumide Oyedeji (208-81) helped adding 8 points and 15 rebounds. At the losing side American forward Wilson Chandler (203-87, college: De Paul) responded with 29 points and 8 rebounds and American-Puerto Rican center Peter John Ramos (222-85) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Qingdao Double Star moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Shandong FB and Jilin NE T. Loser Zhejiang Guangsha Lions keep the third position with five games lost. Qingdao Double Star will face Jilin Tigers (#11) in Changchun in the next round. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions will play at home against Shandong Bulls (#13) in Jinan.
