Regular Season Round 19: Polpharma - Trefl Sopot 71-75

PLK top team - Trefl Sopot (13-4) added another victory to their record on Monday. This time they beat tenth ranked Polpharma (5-13) in Starogard 75-71. The guests trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 41-32 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for the former international forward Filip Dylewicz (202-80) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points and 8 rebounds. The former international guard Lukasz Koszarek (187-84) helped adding 15 points and 7 assists. Four Trefl Sopot players scored in double figures. At the losing side center Adam Metelski (208-83, college: Cal-Irvine) responded with 18 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) and American guard Michael Hicks (193-83, college: Central Mo.) scored 12 points. Polpharma's coach Wojciech Kaminski rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Trefl Sopot have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 13-4 record. Polpharma at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with 13 games lost. Trefl Sopot are looking forward to face Kotwica (#5) in Kolobrzeg in the next round. Polpharma will play at home against Energa Czarni (#4) in Slupsk and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
