A very close game took place in Haifa between B.C. Habikaa and Maccabi Haifa. Sixth ranked B.C. Habikaa (6-5) got a very close victory on the road over 9th ranked Maccabi Haifa (3-8). B.C. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Paul Delaney (188-86, college: UAB) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Rashaun Freeman (206-84, college: Massachusetts) who added 19 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Tyler Wilkerson (202-88, college: Marshall) with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds and forward Carlos Powell (199-83, college: S.Carolina) scored 18 points. Five B.C. Habikaa and four Maccabi Haifa players scored in double figures. B.C. Habikaa moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Maccabi Haifa lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with eight games lost. They share it with Maccabi Ashdod. B.C. Habikaa will meet Hapoel Holon (#6) on the road in the next round. Maccabi Haifa will play against Bnei Hasharon in Hod Hasharon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
