Regular Season Round 12: Maccabi Rishon - Hapoel Holon 88-77

The most important game in the last round took place in Rishon Le-Zion between third ranked Hapoel Holon (6-5) and fifth ranked Maccabi Rishon (6-5) on Monday night. Hapoel Holon was defeated by Maccabi Rishon on the road 88-77. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Hapoel Holon. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 88-77. 28 personal fouls committed by Hapoel Holon helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Maccabi Rishon moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Hapoel Holon. Maccabi Rishon will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Hapoel Holon will play at home against B.C. Habikaa (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
