There was a minor upset when 9th ranked Elitzur Ramla (5-8) was defeated at home by eleventh ranked Ironi Nes-Ziona (5-7) 100-87. The guests were ahead by 2 points but lost the second period ending it with a 3-point deficit before their 36-20 run, which allowed them to win the game. Ironi Nes-Ziona dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Elitzur Ramla's 42. Ironi Nes-Ziona forced 21 Elitzur Ramla turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Welsh forward Tal Michael Dunne (197-87) who helped to win the game recording 27 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Gabe Blair (203-87, college: Wichita St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ironi Nes-Ziona moved-up to ninth place. Elitzur Ramla lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with eight games lost. Ironi Nes-Ziona's next round opponent will be higher ranked Ironi Nahariya (#7) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
