There was no surprise when 13th ranked Navarra Pamplona (2-11) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Argon Uni Girona (9-4) 77-64. The game without a history. Argon Uni Girona led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 23-of-26 charity shots (88.5 percent) during the game, while Navarra Pamplona only scored seven points from the stripe. They outrebounded Navarra Pamplona 41-29 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for American forward Angelica Robinson (196-87, college: Georgia) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 19 rebounds. Argentinian center Gisela Vega (187-82, agency: Josep and Nicolas) contributed with 22 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Croatian swingman Amra Dapo (184-76, agency: Josep and Nicolas) replied with 15 points and 5 rebounds and Serbian power forward Jovana Rad (187-87, agency: Josep and Nicolas) added 13 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Navarra Pamplona. Four Navarra Pamplona players scored in double figures. Navarra Pamplona's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Argon Uni Girona moved-up to fourth place. Navarra Pamplona at the other side keeps the thirteenth position with 11 games lost. Argon Uni Girona will play against Real Celta Vigo (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Navarra Pamplona will play against Cajarural in Zamora and hopes to get back on the winning track.
