Important game to mention about took place in St.Catharines, ON. Fourth ranked Badgers (7-2) saved a 3-point derby victory at home edging 5th ranked Gryphons (5-4) 77-74 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Gryphons. It looked good early as Gryphons took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Badgers had a 20-14 second period charge getting the lead and Gryphons were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 74-77. They outrebounded Gryphons 43-23 including a 30-10 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for guard Andrew Kraus (188-86) who led his team to a victory with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Andrew Ferguson (198-84) contributed with 8 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Forward Adam Bering (201-88) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and guard Kareem Malcolm (183) added 21 points in the effort for Gryphons. Gryphons' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Badgers moved-up to third place, which they share with McMaster. Gryphons at the other side dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
