Regular Season Round 20: Zhejiang CB - Fujian QB 78-102

We should mention about the upset which took place in Hangzhou, where higher ranked Zhejiang Cyclones (11-7) were outleveled at home by ninth ranked Fujian SBS XunXin (10-9) 102-78 on Wednesday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Zhejiang Cyclones. The game without a history. Fujian SBS XunXin led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. The game was also dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of center Will McDonald (211-79, college: S.Florida) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Anthony Roberson (188-83, college: Florida) who added 24 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Guard J.R. Smith (198-85) responded with 35 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and power forward Josh Boone (208-84, college: Connecticut) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fujian SBS XunXin maintains ninth position with 10-9 record. Loser Zhejiang Cyclones keep the fourth place with seven games lost. Fujian SBS XunXin will meet bottom-ranked Jiangsu Dragons (#17) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Zhejiang Cyclones will play against Xinjiang Flying Tige (#8) in Urumqi and hope to secure a win.
