Very important is a home loss of third ranked Menorca Basquet (10-7) against seventh ranked Grupo Iruna Navarra (10-7) on Wednesday night. Host Menorca Basquet was defeated by Grupo Iruna Navarra in Mahon 82-72. The game was mostly controlled by Grupo Iruna Navarra. Menorca Basquet was better in fourth quarter 25-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Grupo Iruna Navarra made 18-of-21 charity shots (85.7 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Grupo Iruna Navarra especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 58.8 percentage. Menorca Basquet's coach tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Grupo Iruna Navarra moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Menorca Basquet. Grupo Iruna Navarra will play against league's leader Canarias in Tenerife in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Menorca Basquet will play at home against Leche Rio Breogan in Lugo and hopes to get back on the winning track.
