There was no surprise in Tianjin where 15th ranked TianJin Rongcheng (6-13) was crushed by sixth ranked Liaoning Hunters (11-8) 103-82. The game was mostly controlled by Liaoning Hunters. TianJin Rongcheng was better in third quarter 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Liaoning Hunters shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 53.6 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by TianJin Rongcheng's players. The winners were led by guard Ming Yang (193-85) who scored that evening 9 points and 14 assists and the former international center Xiaoxu Li (207-90) supported him with 8 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. Even a double-double of 24 points and 10 rebounds by American center David Harrison (213-82, college: Colorado) did not help to save the game for TianJin Rongcheng. His fellow American import power forward Donnell Harvey (203-80, college: Florida) added 19 points and 12 rebounds for the hosts. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Liaoning Hunters moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Shanghai S. and DongGuan L. TianJin Rongcheng at the other side keeps the fifteenth position with 13 games lost. Liaoning Hunters' next round opponent will be Qingdao Double Star (#11) on the road where they are favorite. TianJin Rongcheng will play against the league's leader Guandong Tigers (#1) in Dongguan.
