Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both twelfth ranked Qingdao Double Star and 11th ranked Jilin Tigers had identical 7-11 record. This time Qingdao Double Star used a home court advantage and outscored the opponent from Changchun 116-95. The game was mostly controlled by Qingdao Double Star. Jilin Tigers was better in second period 28-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Qingdao Double Star made 17-of-19 charity shots (89.5 percent) during the game. Qingdao Double Star outrebounded Jilin Tigers 43-25 including a 27-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by American guard Lester Hudson (191-84, college: Tenn-Martin) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 30 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists and forward Gen Li (196-88) supported him with 26 points and 4 assists. Even 27 points and 4 steals by American swingman Cartier Martin (201-84, college: Kansas St.) did not help to save the game for Jilin Tigers. Forward Biao Zhang (201-90) added 22 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. Five Qingdao Double Star and four Jilin Tigers players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Qingdao Double Star (8-11) moved-up to eleventh place. Jilin Tigers lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth position with 12 games lost. Qingdao Double Star's next round opponent will be higher ranked Liaoning Hunters (#6) in Yingkou and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Jilin Tigers will play at home against Shandong Bulls (#13) in Jinan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
