No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Mann Filter (8-4) defeated on the road 9th ranked Arranz-Jopisa Burgos (4-8) 66-61. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 23-12. But Arranz-Jopisa Burgos won third quarter 18-7. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for the former international forward Maria Pina (187-87) who led her team to a victory with 15 points and 6 rebounds. International guard Cristina Ouvina (174-90) contributed with 10 points, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Mann Filter's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. point guard Lucia Pablos (172-85, college: Northeastern, agency: Josep and Nicolas) replied with 15 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Lorena Infantes (171-81) added 9 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Arranz-Jopisa Burgos. Mann Filter have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Mariana. Newly promoted Arranz-Jopisa Burgos keeps the ninth position with eight games lost. They share it with Cajarural. Mann Filter will play against Hondarribia-Irun (#11) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Arranz-Jopisa Burgos will play against Gran Canaria in Las Palmas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
