The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Recanati as it allowed them to take a leadership position after previous leader's (Bari) loss. Recanati defeated 4th placed Mazzeo San Severo at home 87-79. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Mazzeo San Severo won third quarter 25-21.
