LigaA top team - Obras (10-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fourteenth ranked Club 9 (3-8) in Buenos Aires 98-64. The game without a history. Obras led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Club 9's 40 and made 23-of-30 charity shots (76.7 percent) during the game. Obras had a 29-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. Club 9 was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for international power forward Juan Gutierrez (205-83) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). International forward Pablo Espinoza (195-87) helped adding 14 points and 7 rebounds. Four Obras players scored in double figures. Obras' coach Julio Cesar Lamas felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American power forward Jazwin Cowan (205-83, college: Hampton, agency: Dream Team Management) responded with 26 points and 9 rebounds and guard Gaston Luchino (184-82) scored 14 points. Obras have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 10-1 record. Club 9 lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with eight games lost. They share it with GECR Indalo. Obras will again play against Club 9 (#14) in Rio Tercero in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Club 9 will have a break next round.
