A very interesting game took place in Comodoro R.. It ended with only three-point home defeat of 13th ranked GECR Indalo (3-8) to tenth ranked Boca Juniors (5-6) 84-81 on Friday evening. GECR Indalo was ahead by 2 points after three quarters before a 26-21 charge of Boca Juniors, which allowed them to win the game. They made 26-of-33 charity shots (78.8 percent) during the game. Boca Juniors outrebounded GECR Indalo 46-33 including 18 on the offensive glass. 25 personal fouls committed by GECR Indalo helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Maximiliano Stanic (178-78, agency: Players Group) who scored 18 points and 8 rebounds. American guard Larry OBannon (194-83, college: Louisville, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 21 points (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Four Boca Juniors players scored in double figures. American forward Edward Nelson (203-82, college: Connecticut, agency: Dream Team Management) produced 20 points and 9 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and the other American import forward Cedric McGowan (198-85, college: Cincinnati, agency: Court Side) added 18 points respectively for the hosts. Boca Juniors moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Wuber-Est.Bahia and Regatas C. GECR Indalo at the other side keeps the thirteenth position with eight games lost. Boca Juniors will have a break next round. GECR Indalo will play again on the road against Boca Juniors (#9) in Buenos Aires.
