Everything went according to plan when leader Ravens (9-0) outplayed bottom-ranked Lions (0-9) in Toronto, ON 90-54 on Friday. The game without a history. Ravens led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 36 of its points in the paint compared to Lions' 16. Ravens forced 22 Lions turnovers and outrebounded them 50-28 including a 32-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Lions were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for guard Elliot Thompson (191-89) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 10 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. International guard Philip Scrubb (194-92) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Four Ravens players scored in double figures. Forward Christian Coldea (201) answered with 17 points and guard David Tyndale (180) added 11 points in the effort for Lions. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the ninth consecutive win for Ravens. They maintain first place with 9-0 record. Lions lost their ninth game in a row. They still closes the standings with nine games lost. Ravens will face Voyageurs (#5) in Sudbury, ON in the next round. Lions will play at home against the league's second-placed Gee-Gees in Ottawa, ON and hope to get finally their first victory.
