Seventh-ranked Bank of Taiwan (1-7) used its home court advantage to challenge first ranked Dacin Tigers (7-1) on Friday. Dacin Tigers managed to secure only three-point victory 90-87. However their fans expected much easier game. Bank of Taiwan was tied after three quarters and then recorded another tie at the end of regular time. They were eventually defeated in overtime 6-9s. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Lei Tien (203-83) who helped to win the game recording 24 points. Belizean-American power forward Noel Felix (205-81, college: Fresno St.) contributed with 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American power forward John Vaudreuil (203-85, college: Minn.-Duluth, agency: Warren Sports International) replied with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and the former international forward Chih-Chiang Hsu (194-82) added 23 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Bank of Taiwan. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Dacin Tigers maintains first position with 7-1 record. Bank of Taiwan lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with seven games lost. Dacin Tigers will face KKL (#5) in the next round. Bank of Taiwan will play against Yulon Luxgen.
