Date: January 6, 2012
Everything went according to plan in Blaine where seventh ranked Trinity Western (5-4) outscored 12th ranked Lethbridge (2-7) 79-51 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Trinity Western. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Holly Strom (180) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds and American guard Sarah Cleveland (173, college: Portland St.) who added 16 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Natalie Nichols (173) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and forward Morgan Cross (183) scored 6 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Trinity Western have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Lethbridge lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with seven games lost.
