There was no surprise in Kingston where bottom-ranked RMC (0-9) was outplayed by third ranked Toronto (6-3) 76-40 on Friday. The game without a history. Toronto led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding RMC to just 5 points in first quarter. Toronto dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to RMC's 24 and made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Jill Stratton (178) who helped to win the game recording 10 points and guard Melissa Frederick (170) who added 8 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Sandy Edmison (183) with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds and guard Samantha Bayne (180) scored 8 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Toronto moved-up to second place, which they share with 5 other teams. Loser RMC still closes the standings with nine games lost. Toronto will face higher ranked Queen's in Kingston in the next round. RMC will play at home against Ryerson (#6) in Toronto and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
