Regular Season Round 13: Haga Haninge - LF Future 84-71

There was a minor upset when 3rd placed LF Future (10-3) lost on the road to fifth ranked Haga Haninge (8-5) 84-71 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 31-17 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Haga Haninge outrebounded LF Future 41-30 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Haga Haninge especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 60.0 percentage. LF Future was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for guard Bjorn Johansson (190-83) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. Guard David Czernik (181-80) contributed with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Naturalized Iraqi forward Samir Ali Hussein (198-92) answered with 14 points and 7 rebounds and forward Daniel Eliasson (189-92) added 19 points in the effort for LF Future. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Haga Haninge have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fifth place in North with 8-5 record. Newly promoted LF Future dropped to the second position with three games lost. Haga Haninge will face higher ranked Taby Basket (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. LF Future will play against KFUM Blackebergs in Vallingby.
