Regular Season Round 14: UFV - Lethbridge 78-87

There was an upset when one of their biggest challengers Cascades (6-4) lost to ninth ranked Pronghorn (5-5) in Abbotsford, BC 78-87 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 23-16. But Cascades won second period 16-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Cascades were plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Dominyc Coward (198) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 9 rebounds. Morgan Duce contributed with 17 points for the winners. Four Pronghorn players scored in double figures. Pronghorn's coach Dave Adams used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Samuel Freeman (191) replied with 23 points and 5 rebounds and forward Jasper Moedt (203) added 20 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Cascades. Pronghorn moved-up to third place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Cascades dropped to the second position with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
