Regular Season Round 14: Segle XXI - Cravic Reus 52-64

There was a small surprise when thirteenth ranked Cravic Reus (4-9) defeated 11th ranked Segle XXI (3-9) in Barcelona 64-52 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 34-20 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Cravic Reus dominated on the defensive end, holding Segle XXI to just 7 points in third quarter. Forward Ana Moreno (183-79) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 18 rebounds and 5 assists. Center Marta Navarro (193-87) contributed with 10 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Forward Maria Arrojo (186-85) replied with 14 points and 8 rebounds and power forward Ana Faussurier (189-94) added 9 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Segle XXI. Segle XXI's coach Ramon Jordana tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Cravic Reus moved-up to twelfth place in Group B. Segle XXI lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with nine games lost. Cravic Reus will face Palma (#15) in Palma de Mallorca in the next round. Segle XXI will play on the road against Space Tanit Eivissa.
