Regular Season Round 14: Novum Lublin - UMKS Kielce 55-61

Rather predictable result when fourth ranked UMKS Kielce (9-4) defeated on the road 8th ranked Novum Lublin (6-7) 61-55 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Novum Lublin won third quarter 14-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when UMKS Kielce won last quarter 19-15. Swingman Marcin Wrobel (200-87) had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Grzegorz Kij (200-73) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Swingman Jakub Karolak (192-93) responded with 19 points and 6 rebounds and center Mateusz Wisniewski (204-91) scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. UMKS Kielce moved-up to second place in Group C. Novum Lublin at the other side dropped to the seventh position with seven games lost. UMKS Kielce will face Staco MNLK (#10) in Niepolomice in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Novum Lublin will play on the road against UKS Siemaszka in Piekary and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
