Regular Season Round 27: Yokohama BC - Saitama Bron. 80-68

Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked Saitama Broncos (7-16) were defeated on the road by seventh ranked Yokohama BC (10-13) 80-68. The game was mostly controlled by Yokohama BC. Saitama Broncos was better in fourth quarter 26-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Saitama Broncos 40-29 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Yokohama BC players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The game was dominated by American players. It was a good game for forward Justin Burrell (235-88, college: St.John's) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field). Center Chas McFarland (213-86, college: Wake Forest) contributed with 8 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Forward Jayme Miller (203-85) answered with 17 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Kenny Satterfield (188-81, college: Cincinnati) added 18 points in the effort for Saitama Broncos. Yokohama BC have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain seventh place with 10-13 record, which they share with Shinshu BW. Saitama Broncos at the other side keep the ninth position with 16 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
