Regular Season Round 27: Shinshu BW - Iwate Big Bulls 75-64

Rather predictable result in Nagano where eighth ranked Shinshu BW (10-13) defeated 10th ranked Iwate Big Bulls (7-18) 75-64. Iwate Big Bulls were ahead by 8 points at the halftime before a 39-20 second half run of Shinshu BW. It was a good game for American guard Derek Raivio (190-84, college: Gonzaga, agency: Priority Sports) who led his team to a victory with 27 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import forward Tyler Hughes (213-84, college: Kansas St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American power forward LaShawn Malloy (209-84, college: New Orleans) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 20 rebounds and Guyanese-American forward Gordon Klaiber (206-83, college: Fair Dickinson) added 15 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Iwate Big Bulls. Shinshu BW moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Yokohama BC. Iwate Big Bulls at the other side keep the tenth position with 18 games lost. Shinshu BW's next round opponent will be again Iwate Big Bulls (#10) at home.
