Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked Pall.Piemonte (4-10) was defeated at home by seventh ranked Bolzano (6-7) 70-64 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 70-64. Bolzano forced 20 Pall.Piemonte turnovers. Polish-French center Karolina Piotrkiewicz (190-84, college: Liberty, agency: LBM Management) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and guard Camilla Valerio (172-93) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. Four Bolzano players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Paola Montanaro (168-89) responded with 26 points and 6 rebounds and guard Alice Quarta (175-91) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Bolzano maintains seventh place in North with 6-7 record. Pall.Piemonte lost their seventh game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the eleventh position with ten games lost. Bolzano will face league's leader Meccanica NB in Bologna in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
