We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when fourteenth ranked Heat (2-6) won against 13th ranked Wesmen (2-8) in Kelowna, BC 79-70 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 26-15 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Yassine Ghomari orchestrated the victory by scoring 32 points and 5 assists. Bret Macdonald contributed with 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Forward Mark McNee (198) replied with 14 points and 7 rebounds and American forward Benny Iko (198) added 12 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Wesmen.
