Regular Season Round 14: St.Mary's - UPEI 93-86

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Panthers (6-2) against sixth ranked Huskies (4-5) on Saturday night. Visiting Panthers were defeated by Huskies in a tough game in Halifax, NS 86-93. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 93-86. Huskies forced 23 Panthers turnovers. Strangely Panthers outrebounded Huskies 50-38 including 19 on the offensive glass. Forward Riley Halpin (203) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Jerome Smith contributed with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Donathan Moss replied with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds and Sudanese forward Manock Lual (198-89) added 15 points and 14 rebounds in the effort for Panthers. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Huskies moved-up to fourth place. Loser Panthers keep the second position with two games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
