Regular Season Round 14: McMaster - Waterloo 97-84

Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked Warriors (4-6) lost to fourth ranked Marauders (8-2) in Hamilton, ON 84-97 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Marauders. Warriors was better in second period 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Marauders looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Joe Rocca orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 5 rebounds. Aaron Redpath contributed with 10 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Guard Wayne Bridge (188-90) replied with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and guard Mike Wright (180-91) added 18 points in the effort for Warriors. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Marauders moved-up to third place. Warriors lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with six games lost. Marauders will face Badgers (#4) in St.Catharines, ON in the next round. Warriors will play on the road against Lancers in Windsor, ON and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
