Regular Season Round 15: St Quentin - Sorgues 68-60

An interesting game for Saint-Quentin (11-4) which hosted in Saint-Quentin second-best Sorgues (10-5). Third ranked Saint-Quentin managed to get a 8-point victory 68-60. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Sorgues. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The hosts trailed by 13 points at the halftime before their 44-23 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Saint-Quentin forced 21 Sorgues turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for forward Kevin Bichard (192-86) who led the winners and scored 20 points. Naturalized American guard Jimmal Ball (178-78, college: Akron, agency: ACMT) accounted for 10 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side. Four Saint-Quentin players scored in double figures. Forward Vincent Ateba (195-85, college: Missouri So.) came up with 8 points and 8 rebounds and guard Samir Mekdad (188-86) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Sorgues in the defeat. Saint-Quentin moved-up to second place. Loser Sorgues dropped to the third position with five games lost. They share it with Cognac and Souffel. Saint-Quentin will meet Chartres (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Sorgues will play against Blois (#6) and hope to secure a win.
