Jarva Devils (#7) forced the game against KFUM Blackebergs (#6) into a double-overtime, but lost by eight points 87-95 on Saturday night. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 20-4. But Jarva Devils won second period 27-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where Jarva Devils used huge pressure winning it 20-17 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually double-overtime period 11-11. KFUM Blackebergs dominated on the defensive end, holding Jarva Devils to just 4 points in first quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Jarva Devils' 34. KFUM Blackebergs forced 25 Jarva Devils turnovers and outrebounded them 53-40 including 17 on the offensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when KFUM Blackebergs made 7 blocks. Jarva Devils were plagued by 33 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of center Nicklas Bergstrom (205-78) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points, 16 rebounds and 5 blocks. Forward Alexander Holmstrom Forster (196-92) contributed with 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four KFUM Blackebergs players scored in double figures. Guard Binyam Feghadu (195-89) answered with 34 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 7 assists and naturalized Argentinian guard Rafael Carbone (192-89, agency: World Sport Agency) added 14 points and 4 assists in the effort for Jarva Devils. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. KFUM Blackebergs maintains sixth place in North with 7-6 record. Newly promoted Jarva Devils dropped to the eighth position with eight games lost. KFUM Blackebergs will face BG Lulea (#11) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Jarva Devils will play against KFUM Uppsala and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
