No shocking result in a game when third ranked Rams (5-5) crushed bottom-ranked RMC (0-10) in Kingston, ON 92-19 on Saturday. The game without a history. Rams led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding RMC to just 3 points in fourth quarter and to 8 points in second half. Rams held RMC to an opponent 14.3 percent shooting from the field compared to 44.0 percent accuracy of the winners and made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game, while RMC only scored three points from the stripe. They outrebounded RMC 52-16 including a 15-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. RMC was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Aaron Best orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points and 6 steals. Forward Nemanja Stankovic (208-90, college: Chicago St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Rams players scored in double figures. Rams' coach Roy Rana felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Timothy Boettcher replied with 2 points and 7 rebounds and guard James Byun (185) added 7 points in the effort for RMC. Rams maintains third position with 5-5 record having five points less than leader Lakehead, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser RMC still closes the standings with ten games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
