Regular Season Round 15: Roche - Souffel 62-64

NM1 round 15 most important game was a victory of Souffelweyersheim over 7th ranked Roche 64-62 on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Roche. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 16-10. But Roche won second period 21-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Souffelweyersheim made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. Souffelweyersheim had a 31-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for swingman Jessie Begarin (190-88, agency: Court Side) who led his team to a victory with 25 points and 5 rebounds (went 11 for 11 at the free throw line !!!). Senegalese power forward Abdoulaye N'Diaye (210-84, college: USC) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Guard Roderick Pegon (199-77) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and guard Francisco Bateko (185-84, college: Robert Morris) added 16 points in the effort for Roche. Souffelweyersheim (10-5) moved-up to third place, which they share with Cognac and Sorgues. Roche at the other side dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Souffelweyersheim is looking forward to face CFBB (#17) in Paris in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Roche will play on the road against Le Puy ASMB (#16) in Le Puy en Velay and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
