Regular Season Round 15: Wisla Can-Pak - Inea AZS 78-46

PLKK top team - Wisla Can-Pak (14-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fourteenth ranked Inea AZS (0-15) in Krakow 78-46. The game without a history. Wisla Can-Pak led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Inea AZS to just 6 points in fourth quarter. Wisla Can-Pak made 20-of-23 charity shots (87.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Inea AZS 43-24 including a 34-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a quality performance for the former international center Ewelina Kobryn (193-82) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds. Montenegrin forward Milka Bjelica (193-81) accounted for 10 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Wisla Can-Pak's coach Jose Ignacio Hernandez felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Aneta Kotnis (186-89) came up with 14 points and 9 rebounds and guard Magdalena Gawronska (168-83, agency: Promotex) added 14 points and 4 assists respectively for Inea AZS in the defeat. Defending champion maintains first place with 14-1 record. Inea AZS at the other side still closes the standings with 15 games lost. Wisla Can-Pak will play against Energa Torun (#5) on the road in the next round. Inea AZS will play against LKS Siemens (#6) in Lodz and hopes to get finally their first victory.
