Regular Season Round 13: Cadi ICG S. - Rivas Ecopolis 79-65

The game between third ranked Rivas Ecopolis (9-4) and seventh ranked Cadi la Seu (7-6) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Rivas Ecopolis was defeated by Cadi la Seu in Seu D'urgell 65-79. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 49-34 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Strangely Rivas Ecopolis outrebounded Cadi la Seu 34-22 including a 17-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Latvian guard Kristine Karklina (175-83) who helped to win the game recording 28 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Guard Cristina Garcia (183-84) contributed with 14 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Cadi la Seu players scored in double figures. Forward Asjha Jones (188-80, college: Connecticut) answered with 14 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Essence Carson (183-86, college: Rutgers) added 9 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Rivas Ecopolis. Cadi la Seu maintains seventh place with 7-6 record. Rivas Ecopolis at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with Mann Filter. Cadi la Seu are looking forward to face higher ranked Joventud Mariana (#6) in Soller in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Rivas Ecopolis will play on the road against Arranz-Jopisa Burgos and is hoping to win this game.
