Important game to mention about took place in Mahon. Seventh ranked Menorca Basquet (11-7) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 11th ranked Leche Rio Breogan (8-10) 74-73 on Sunday evening. The hosts were ahead by 1 point but lost the second period ending it with a 5-point deficit before their 22-16 run, which allowed them to win the game. It was a good game for point guard Daniel Perez (188-90) who saved his team from a defeat with 9 points and 6 assists. Center Oliver Arteaga (211-83) contributed with 8 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Menorca Basquet's coach Josep Berrocal allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American power forward Brooks Sales (208-80, college: Villanova) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and Dominican-American guard James Feldeine (193-88, college: Quinnipiac) added 18 points in the effort for Leche Rio Breogan. Menorca Basquet moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Leche Rio Breogan at the other side keeps the eleventh position with ten games lost. They share it with Leon and Palencia. Menorca Basquet will play against bottom-ranked Clinicas Rincon (#18) in Malaga in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Leche Rio Breogan will play at home against the league's leader Canarias (#1) in Tenerife and hopes to get back on the winning track.
