We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 8th ranked Girona FC (9-9) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Caceres 2016 (9-9) 93-75 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Caceres 2016. Girona FC was better in fourth quarter 30-27. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was power forward Jose Angel Antelo (203-87) who scored 25 points and 8 rebounds. Slovakian power forward Justin Sedlak (205-87, college: Florida Tech) chipped in 14 points. Five Caceres 2016 players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Latvian power forward Rolands Freimanis (207-88, agency: Players Group) who recorded 18 points and American power forward Thomas Coleman (205-88, college: N.Carolina A&T) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Girona FC's coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Caceres 2016 moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Girona. Caceres 2016 will face higher ranked Melilla Baloncesto (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
