Very expected game when 17th ranked UCAM Murcia (4-11) was smashed at home by second ranked Real Madrid (12-3) 91-60 on Sunday. The game without a history. Real Madrid led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Real Madrid had a 31-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Real Madrid especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. It was a good game for international power forward Felipe Reyes (203-80) who led his team to a victory with 14 points and 6 rebounds. The former international guard Sergio Rodriguez (191-86) contributed with 7 points and 8 assists for the winners. Four Real Madrid players scored in double figures. Montenegrin power forward Blagota Sekulic (208-82, agency: FCM) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and guard Jordi Grimau (195-83) added 12 points and 4 assists in the effort for UCAM Murcia. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Real Madrid keeps a position of league leader, which they share with FCB Regal and Caja Laboral. Newly promoted UCAM Murcia dropped to the bottom place with 11 games lost. Real Madrid will face Meridiano Alicante (#5) on the road in the next round. UCAM Murcia will play against Unicaja Malaga (#4).
