Regular Season Round 18: FCM Ferentino - Chieti 78-73

There was a small surprise when third ranked Ferentino (12-6) won against at home one of their biggest challengers Chieti (9-9) 78-73 on Sunday. Ferentino made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Chieti turnovers. It was a good game for swingman Salvatore Parrillo (190-92) who led his team to a victory with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Francesco Ihedioha (196-86) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. The former international center Emanuele Rossi (208-82) replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds and naturalized San Marino swingman Andrea Raschi (200-79) added 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Chieti. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ferentino moved-up to second place, which they share with Orlandina. Newly promoted Chieti keeps the third position with nine games lost. Ferentino will face Fabriano (#5) in the next round. Chieti will play against the league's second-placed Recanati and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
