Regular Season Round 15: Cajasol - CAI Zaragoza 77-64

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when seventh ranked Cajasol (8-7) won against 6th ranked CAI Zaragoza (7-7) in Sevilla 77-64 on Sunday. CAI Zaragoza was trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 4-point lead after three quarters before a 23-6 charge of Cajasol, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated on the defensive end, holding CAI Zaragoza to just 6 points in fourth quarter. It was a good game for American center Paul Davis (211-84, college: Michigan St.) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 6 rebounds. Italian-Argentinian guard Hernan Jasen (199-78) contributed with 14 points and 4 assists for the winners. American guard Bracey Wright (191-84, college: Indiana, agency: Priority Sports) answered with 19 points and power forward Pablo Aguilar (203-89) added 12 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for CAI Zaragoza. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Cajasol moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Valencia. Loser CAI Zaragoza dropped to the eighth position with seven games lost. Cajasol will face Blusens Monbus (#16) in Santoago de Comp in the next round and are hoping to win another game. CAI Zaragoza will play at home against FIATC Joventut (#15) in Badalona.
