Everything went according to plan when ninth ranked Bracco Geas (4-7) defeated on the road bottom-ranked Alcamo (1-10) 73-61 on Sunday. The game without a history. Bracco Geas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Alcamo's 28. Swedish center Louice Halvarsson (189-89, agency: Josep and Nicolas) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 7 rebounds. The former international forward Manuela Zanon (185-80) contributed with 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American guard Nicole Michael (188-87, college: Syracuse) answered with 13 points and 9 rebounds and Romanian forward Simina Mandache (185-81) added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Alcamo. Bracco Geas moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Pozzuoli. Alcamo lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Bracco Geas will face higher ranked Umbertide (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Alcamo will play against Comense (#4) in Como.
