Regular Season Round 28: Takamatsu FA - Osaka Evessa 62-75

There was no surprise when 9th ranked Takamatsu FA (1-23) was defeated at home by second ranked Osaka Evessa (17-5) 75-62 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Osaka Evessa. Takamatsu FA was better in fourth quarter 23-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American forward Lynn Washington (200-78, college: Indiana) fired a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his ten free throws !!!) for the winners. Guard Cohey Aoki (167-80) chipped in 21 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Osaka Evessa's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Kevin Smith (195-89, college: Richmond) produced 17 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 7 steals and his fellow American import forward Michael Nunnally (203-86, college: Pacific) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Takamatsu FA players scored in double figures. Osaka Evessa have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 17-5 record having 2 victories less than leader Akita NH. Takamatsu FA lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 23 games lost. Osaka Evessa will face Oita Heat Devils (#8) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Takamatsu FA will play against Kyoto Hannar..
