Regular Season Round 13: Memorial - Dalhousie 85-83

Sixth-ranked Dalhousie (2-5) made lots of trouble for third ranked Memorial (6-2) in St. John's. Memorial managed to secure only two-point victory 85-83. However their fans expected easier game. Dalhousie was ahead by 14 points after three quarters before a 32-16 charge of Memorial, which allowed them to win the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. Forward Ally Forsey (191-90) nailed a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side and forward Robyn O'Rielly (178) accounted for 20 points and 5 assists. Guard Courtney Thompson (175) came up with 16 points and 7 assists (made all of her eight free throws) and guard Anna Von Maltzahn (180-91) added 16 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) respectively for Dalhousie in the defeat. Four Memorial and five Dalhousie players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. The victory was the third consecutive win for Memorial. They moved-up to second place, which they share with UBC. Dalhousie lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
