Regular Season Round 13: St.Mary's - UPEI 76-74

Eighth-ranked UPEI (1-7) made lots of trouble for first ranked Huskies (8-1) in Halifax, NS. Huskies managed to secure only two-point victory 76-74. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts were ahead by 5 points but lost the second period ending it with a 3-point deficit before their 23-18 run, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of international guard Justine Colley (175-91) who helped to win the game recording 30 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Center Susanne Canvin (180-88) contributed with 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Guard Danielle Macdonald (165) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Amy Gough (178) added 9 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for UPEI. Huskies have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 8-1 record. UPEI lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with seven games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
