Regular Season Round 11: Elitzur Holon - Maccabi R.Hen 71-70

A very close game took place in Holon between Elitzur Holon and Maccabi Ramat Hen. Tenth ranked Elitzur Holon (2-8) got a very close home victory over 4th placed Maccabi Ramat Hen (6-4). Elitzur Holon managed to escape with a 1-point win 71-70 on Monday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 71-70. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. The best player for the winners was guard Brittani Shells (170-89, college: Richmond, agency: Merit Sports) who scored 22 points and 5 steals. Forward Tierney Jenkins (182-89, college: Alabama) chipped in 6 points and 13 rebounds. Four Elitzur Holon players scored in double figures. Guard Danielle Robinson (175-89, college: Oklahoma) produced 21 points and 7 rebounds and forward Sequoia Holmes (185-86, college: UNLV, agency: Merit Sports) added 14 points and 12 rebounds respectively for the guests. Elitzur Holon moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Hapoel T-A and Elitzur Netanya. Maccabi Ramat Hen lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with B.C. Habikaa. Elitzur Holon will meet at home bottom-ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv (#11) in the next round. Maccabi Ramat Hen will have a break next round.
