Regular Season Round 15: Windsor - Waterloo 82-72

Rather predictable result when fourth ranked Lancers (9-3) won against 7th ranked Warriors (4-8) in Windsor, ON 82-72 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Lancers. Warriors was better in second period 20-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Lancers won last quarter 28-20. Lancers outrebounded Warriors 47-26 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for guard Josh Collins (186-90) who led his team to a victory with 21 points, 9 assists and 5 steals. International forward Lien Phillip (203-89) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Guard Mike Wright (180-91) answered with 17 points and 7 assists and forward Zach Angelini (188-92) added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Warriors. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lancers have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with McMaster. Warriors lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
