There was a small surprise when twelfth ranked Otto Caserta (7-8) defeated at home 10th ranked Angelico Biella (7-8) 90-76 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Otto Caserta. Angelico Biella was better in second period 22-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Otto Caserta made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Andre Collins (183-82, college: Loyola, MD) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 assists and the other American import forward Andre Smith (203-85, college: N.Dakota St.) who added 23 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Otto Caserta players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Aubrey Coleman (193-87, college: Houston) responded with 26 points and 6 rebounds and Spanish center Albert Miralles (208-82, agency: Interperformances) scored 14 points. Otto Caserta moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Banco di Sard. and Angelico BI. Angelico Biella lost fifth consecutive game. Otto Caserta will face Banco di Sard. (#10) in Sassari in the next round.
