Regular Season Round 19: Melilla - Caceres 85-83

Not a big story in a game when 8th ranked Caceres 2016 (9-10) was edged on the road by fourth ranked Melilla Baloncesto (12-7) 85-83 on Friday. However just two-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Caceres 2016 trailed by 13 points at halftime and as many as 14 after three quarters before a 24-12 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 83-85 at the end of the game. It was a great shooting night for Melilla Baloncesto especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. Melilla Baloncesto looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Guard Jose Salvador Arco (194-85) fired 29 points and 4 assists (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winners. American guard Troy DeVries (193-82, college: N.Mexico) chipped in 21 points and 7 assists. Belizean-American power forward Leon Williams (203-86, college: Ohio) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and power forward Jose Angel Antelo (203-87) added 15 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five Caceres 2016 players scored in double figures. Melilla Baloncesto moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. Caceres 2016 at the other side dropped to the tenth position with ten games lost. Melilla Baloncesto will face Lobe Huesca (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Caceres 2016 will play against Baloncesto Leon.
