Regular Season Round 16: Ryerson - Carleton 56-87

Date: January 13, 2012
Everything went according to plan in Toronto, ON where top-ranked Ravens (11-0) outleveled 3rd ranked Rams (5-6) 87-56 on Friday. The game without a history. Ravens led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Ravens outrebounded Rams 33-21 including 20 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Ravens especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 71.4 percentage. Forward Kevin Churchill (198) fired 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). International forward Tyson Hinz (199-91) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds. Four Ravens players scored in double figures. Jordon Gauthier produced 12 points and naturalized Italian guard Luke Staniscia (193-88) added 6 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ravens have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 11-0 record. Loser Rams keep the third place with six games lost. Ravens will face Blues (#4) in Toronto, ON in the next round. Rams will play at home against the league's second-placed Gee-Gees in Ottawa, ON and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
