The game between closely ranked teams ended with bottom-ranked Golden Gaels' (0-11) home loss to fifth ranked Voyageurs (4-8) 61-74 on Friday. The game without a history. Voyageurs led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Voyageurs outrebounded Golden Gaels 39-27 including 25 on the defensive glass. Guard Manny Pasquale (183) fired 20 points and 6 assists for the winners. Guard Isiah Pasquale (191) chipped in 21 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Alex Weatherill (196) produced 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Nikola Misljencevic (196) added 16 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Voyageurs maintains fifth position with 4-8 record. Loser Golden Gaels still closes the standings with 11 games lost. Voyageurs will face RMC (#8) in Kingston, ON in the next round. Golden Gaels will play at home against Lions in Toronto, ON and hope to get finally their first victory.
